Can you have diet dr pepper on keto?

Yes, it’s OK to have a can of Diet Dr Pepper every once in a while.

Diet sodas can be a great alternative when you want carbonated drinks and don’t want the calories or carbohydrates that come with regular soda. Keep in mind that just because they’re calorie-free doesn’t mean they can fit into your diet anytime.

In fact, there are plenty of reasons why you might not want to drink diet soft drinks, among them:

1 They can cause you to crave sugars and carbs.  People who drink diet soft drinks rather than their sugary counterparts tend to have higher sugar cravings later on down the line.

This can lead to weight gain instead of weight loss. If you must have a carbonated drink, try sparkling water with a squirt of lemon or lime instead.

2 They can make you eat more. Drinking a diet soft drink can increase your appetite and can even encourage you to eat more food throughout the rest of the day.

If you’re trying to lose weight, this can be counterproductive. One study showed that people who drank diet soda had higher caloric intake than those who didn’t – regardless of whether they were actually hungry or not!

3 They can cause irritability, nervousness and other mood issues Some people report feeling anxious after drinking diet soft drinks, although it’s unclear why this happens in some cases but not others.

But let’s say you really love carbonated beverages and want to keep drinking them for whatever reason, even though they can slow down your weight loss efforts.

If you can’t stand water or sparkling water (which can be great if it’s flavored with some natural, calorie-free flavors like cucumber and lemon) can you enjoy a can of Diet Dr Pepper every once in a while without derailing all your progress?

The short answer is yes. There are no nutrients in regular soda that can derail your healthy diet , so having one can of Diet Dr Pepper won’t make that much of a difference. Just try not to make it habit!

Remember that the biggest key to success on any diet plan isn’t depriving yourself of foods you love – it’s learning how to choose better alternatives so you can still enjoy them occasionally.

In the case of Diet Dr Pepper, you can enjoy a can now and then as long as it doesn’t make you crave sugars or carbs later on. It can be a great alternative when you want carbonated drinks but don’t want the calories or carbohydrates that come with your regular soda.

And if you’re searching for more alternatives to artificially sweetened beverages , try sparkling water with natural flavors .

It can be tough knowing what to eat over the holidays—there are so many parties and get-togethers where all kinds of high-calorie foods will be abundant.

One way to enjoy yourself is through moderation, which can help prevent any serious weight gain during this time of year.

Set some guidelines ahead of time so that you can have fun while still watching what you eat.

Like most people, I used to think that drinking diet soda was a freebie. After all, they have few or no calories and can help you lose weight, right?

So it must be OK to drink one every day, right?  Well, unfortunately not…and here’s why including diet soda in my daily routine would actually reduce the quality of my life!

A recent study has shown that women who drank two or more servings of artificially sweetened drinks per day had an 80 percent higher risk of having a heart attack or other cardiac event than those who didn’t consume any diet drinks.

And another study suggests that diet soda can increase appetite, so you’re likely to be hungry again soon after drinking it.

I’ve switched to water with lemon or lime, flavored sparkling water, unsweetened iced tea and other naturally sweetened drinks instead.

If you can’t stand the taste of water try adding lemons or limes to give your water some flavor.

Or try mixing your own “spa water” by adding cucumbers, oranges or basil to your pitcher of cold water for a refreshing drink.

That’s what I did too…and oh yeah you can have Diet Dr Pepper on Keto!

You’ll just need to watch how much you take in vs carbs/fats/protein ratios to sure it doesn’t mess up your ketosis.
